Mtr. Lainie’s Musings

Dear Ones of St Alban's,

As we Lean into Lent this year, I trust you have set your intention for your spiritual practices these 40 days. I encourage us to think of these 40 days as a Pilgrimage of Possibility. God can do wonderful things if we ask and yield to the Spirit's work.

I have chosen to give up wine ... But I've also chosen to "give up" that flare of anger or frustration that has reared its ugly head over many months, especially in my stress and over-filled days. My intention is also to add Compline prayer before bedtime and a weekly Contemplative Wednesday service and/or Stations of the Cross.

***And I hope to see many of you at our Book Study of Invite, Welcome, Connect following both Sunday services during Lent in the Parish Hall. Please read the Intro and Chapter 1 of the book for Sunday's discussion.

I'm sharing these things to show that even small "sacrifices" help to make our hearts more agile and shapeable on this Pilgrimage. I pray we all will sense God's grace as we Journey Together.

Growing together, Upward - Inward - Outward
