Giving Back and Serving our Community

St. Alban’s outreach ministries address human needs in Southern Arizona and worldwide. The parish gives regular financial or in-kind support to St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic in Nogales, Imago Dei, Primavera, and Casa Maria Soup Kitchen. We have supported many local agencies, including Interfaith Community Services, Youth On Their Own, Felicia’s Farms, Young Life, and Tucson Home Sharing.

  • Bread Run

Our parish members take turns picking up day-old bread and other food products from a local supermarket and delivering the goods to Casa Maria Soup Kitchen in South Tucson. The kitchen serves over 600 meals of soup and a sandwich daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  • Episcopal Relief & Development

Episcopal Relief & Development is the compassionate response of the Episcopal Church to address human suffering. ERD works with church partners and other local organizations in nearly 40 countries to alleviate hunger, create economic opportunities, promote health, and respond to disasters. St. Alban’s Outreach Committee often partners with ERD to respond to natural disasters and human needs.

  • Imago Dei School

Imago Dei School is a non-profit, tuition-free school serving low-income minority students in Tucson. Our Parishioners provide financial and volunteer support as board members, academic tutors, nurses.

  • Mother’s Day Food Drive

An annual tradition for over 30 years, the food drive gives parishioners a chance to honor the important women in their lives with donations of bags of food or money. All donations are given to the Guadalupe Kitchen in Tucson the following day to help them restock their pantry.

  • Primavera Dinner Preparation

St. Alban’s provides volunteers and funding to prepare and serve dinner to approximately 100 men at the Primavera Men’s Shelter twice a month. Our teams prepare the meals in the morning at the church and deliver and serve the meals in the evening.
