Safe Church
& reporting concerns

The Episcopal Church shield.

Everyone deserves care and respect. St. Alban’s is committed to the dignity and safety of every person. The Diocese of Arizona provides Safe Church training, policies, and a process for reporting clergy misconduct.

SAFE CHURCH RESOURCES

Help and resources

Know where to turn

If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911. For suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation, contact Arizona’s Department of Child Safety at 1-888-767-2445 for children and youth, or Adult Protective Services at 1-888-767-2385 for vulnerable adults. Also inform the rector or senior warden about abuse in a parish program. A church report does not replace a report to civil authorities.

REPORT A CONCERN

Clergy misconduct

Title IV is the Church’s process for clergy misconduct. Report a suspected policy violation by clergy directly to the bishop’s office or diocesan intake officers.

Contact TitleIV@azdiocese.org or (602) 456-1578. The dedicated email and phone line are checked daily.

Staff & volunteers

Safe Church covers clergy, staff and volunteers. For a suspected policy violation involving a lay employee or volunteer, immediately tell the ministry’s responsible person, the rector and the senior warden.
