Children's ministries
All of our Sunday School teachers and Youth Group leaders are certified in Safeguarding God's Children, a child abuse awareness and prevention education program mandated by the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. We take the safety of your children very seriously, and honor the trust you put in our staff and volunteers.

Sunday School
St. Alban’s offers a comprehensive Sunday School program for preschool through 12th grade, meeting at 9:00 am. for the summer. Children join their families in the worship space during the offeratory hymn at the 10:00 service. An outstanding team of teachers offers instruction and fosters spiritual growth using age-appropriate materials from the "Spark" curriculum for K through Grade 6. Read more about the Youth programs here. During the summer, Vacation Bible School for Grades 5 and younger takes place during the Sunday School session. |
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES |
Holidays and special services
Every year St. Alban's celebrates its youth with Youth Sunday, where children and youth conduct most of the service, from ushering to delivering the homily. Every year the church puts on a Christmas Pageant and children of all ages have a role! The Family Christmas Service at 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve is lively and joyful, and parish kids read the lessons. After the 10 a.m. Easter service, the popular Easter Egg Hunt takes place in the beautiful and safe church courtyard. In the fall kids bring their backpacks to be blessed at Back to School Sunday, and the preschool students are invited to perform a special song twice a year at Preschool Sundays.

Youth Handbell Choir
The Youth Handbell Choie is open to all St. Alban’s youth. We rehearse Sunday mornings following the 10:00 service and perform anthems when they are ready, normally at the 10:00 service. No experience necessary, but a basic ability to read music is required.
