All of our Sunday School teachers and Youth Group leaders are certified in Safeguarding God's Children, a child abuse awareness and prevention education program mandated by the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. We take the safety of your children very seriously, and honor the trust you put in our staff and volunteers.
Youth at St. Alban's
St. Alban's All-Stars Youth Group
Meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays after the 10 o'clock service. We're currently working on building a youth community with service, education, and fellowship. Our current events are an upcoming Saturday working party to refurbish the youth room and a fun day on a Sunday afternoon. Both will be after Easter 2023. |
YOUTH SERVICE |
Acolytes
Acolytes are part of the altar party at St. Albans. They have the sacred honor of leading the congregation into the service and assisting the preparation and administration of Holy Communion. Acolytes are also featured assistants in the reading of the Gospel. The church provides cassocks in the traditional red color and white cottas. Size is no problem as we have cassocks to fit 4’ 8” gymnasts all the way to 6’ 6” basketball players. Our acolytes are an integral part of the 10 AM Sunday service, and add another sensorial element to our holy service. The line up consists of a processional cross as well as a cross for the clergy and two torches. We are always looking for those who want to be up front and personal with our service by becoming an acolyte. Training sessions are held regularly. Contact Laura Kemp if you would like to join the Corps.

Youth Handbell Choir
The Youth Handbell Choir is open to all St. Alban’s youth. We rehearse Sunday mornings following the 10:00 service and perform anthems when they are ready, normally at the 10:00 service. No experience necessary, but a basic ability to read music is required.
