Discernment Committee Report
As part of the search process for a new Rector, the Discernment Committee met with parishioners and parish groups and conducted a parish survey. Their report has been presented to the Vestry and is also available here.
Rector Search
St. Alban’s is a parish in transition. Last August, the Rev. Tim Scott, our Rector of seventeen years, announced his retirement. The Rev. Canon Ted Holt was engaged by the Vestry as Interim Rector and has been serving since November.
In February 2010, the Vestry appointed Discernment and Search Committees. Bishop Kirk Smith met with these committees and with the Vestry, appointing a consultant from the Diocese.
The Discernment Committee completed its work in June 2010 and presented its results to the Vestry, Search Committee, and Parish (see article below). The Search Committee has evaluated these results and has created a Parish Profile, which may be downloaded here.
